Kylie Nominated For Two ARIA’s

The nominees for the 2008 ARIA Awards were announced yesterday, and Kylie has been nominated in 2 categories, ‘Best Female Artist’ alongside Clare Bowditch, Gabriella Cilmi, Holly Throsby & Missy Higgins and ‘Best Pop Release’ (for the album X) alongside Gabriella Cilmi, Operator Please, Sam Sparro & The Veronicas.

The awards take place on Sunday the 19th of October at the Acer Arena in Sydney and are open to the public with tickets starting from $40.00 (AUS). The event will also be broadcast live in Australia on Network Ten and MTV will be broadcasting live from the Red Carpet.

Red Carpet arrivals for the event start at 3.30pm and no ticket is required so if you’re in Sydney on the 19th of October, get yourself down there as there’s a good chance you’ll get to see the lady herself!

In other news, when interviewed after the National Movie Awards earlier this week Kylie admitted that she wouldn’t be against the idea of recording a Bond theme, and revealed that she had even discussed the idea with Jake Shears – who is a big bond fan – when she had worked with him last year.
