Kylie has shot the first set of photographs for her new Tous advertising campaign.  Working with photographer (and close friend) Leanne Buckham, the shoot took place in Barcelona over the course of three days. The new shots are said to be, natural, real and energetic images featuring a bold, sexy and absolutely chic Kylie Minogue.

Kylie also attended an informal lunchtime photo shoot with brand owners Salvador and Rosa Tous where she expressed her admiration for the Tous brand and her happiness in the overall partnership.

Kylie is rumoured to be unhappy with her relationship with record company EMI after the disappointing performance of her latest album X, which has so far sold only 315,000 copies. Sources have claimed that Kylie blames EMI, which owns her label Parlophone, for sales failing to match her expectations.

“It has not been the massive comeback Kylie had hoped for and the blame has to fall at someone’s door,” an insider told Sunday’s Daily Star. “It is hoped that the flagging sales will pick up with the release of her second single, ‘Wow’, but if not it could be curtains for her relationship with EMI.”  A spokesman for Parlophone records said, “This is not something I want to comment on at this stage.”

According to this weekends papers, the BBC is keen to sign Kylie up to star in several big-budget dramas. Bosses are said to be impressed with her guest cameo in Doctor Who and keen to woo her back for more TV work. ‘The Doctor Who Christmas special was fantastic for us.’ said an inside source. ‘Kylie was no small part of that success, so we’re trying to get her on board for other BBC drama specials.’

However, Kylie’s spokesperson has since denied the claims saying, ‘She gets offers all the time which she and her manager review. But there is nothing specific being discussed at the moment.’

Thousands of Kylie’s fans have been downloading the latest single ‘Wow’ nearly two months before its official release.  The track, which is a return to her dance-friendly sound after the glam-pop style of ‘Two Hearts’ has already debuted in the UK top 40, on downloads and airplay alone.

The single is also charting in the Telco top 20 in Australian as fans download it to mobile phones despite already having the track from her latest album ‘X’.  “As soon as it was announced that this was going to be the next single, everyone started downloading it even though they already have it on the album.” a spokeswoman said. “It won’t be officially released until 15th February but radio stations in Australia start playing it from Monday.”

Kylie will shoot the video for ‘Wow’ in Los Angeles later this month where she will also be honoured for her contribution to the entertainment industry during G’Day USA week.
