Kylie Records ABBA Classic

28 09 2008

Kylie has recorded a duet with her sister Dannii for the new BBC2 comedy Beautiful People and the ladies have chosen the ABBA classic Winner Takes It All as their contribution to the soundtack. The track has been produced by Steve Anderson, Terry Roland and Ian Masterson and judging by Roland’s recent comments on the Dannii forum we’re in for a treat!

“It’s a really fun show, with lots of great music. The duet is in episode 4 … I don’t think you’ll be disappointed,” wrote Roland, “you haven’t heard Kylie belt like this for a long time on record, and I seriously believe that this is the best vocal Dannii has ever done!”

The first episode of the new show which has been written by Jonathan Harvey (Gimme Gimme Gimme) and produced by Jon Plowman (Absolutely Fabulous) airs on BBC2 on Thursday the 2nd of October at 9.30pm and stars Meera Syal (The Kumars At No 42) and Olivia Colman (Peep Show).

The Beautiful People Soundtrack is scheduled for a physical CD release by Virgin TV on the 20th of October although the track-listing is still to be confirmed.
