An End & A New Beginning

Firstly I’d like to say thank you to everybody who has supported the site over the last 18 months. I’ve met some really great people from all over the world!

Unfortunately, although  the free version of WordPress (which runs this site) is a fantastic system their ban on using anything other than basic HTML coding has become very restrictive, and all of the paid upgrades I have needed to add have meant that the site has become very expensive to maintain (approx £100 per year – and with the WordPress ban on advertising I have no way to recoup any of these costs). To this end, sadly ‘The Impossible Princess’ will not be returning. However….

Hi guys! Just a quick post to say sorry about the unexpected absence, unfortunately ill health has got the best of me and I just haven’t been able to update the site.

I hope to be back really soon with a new look and a recap of everything that’s happened over the last month.

Kylie – A Queen Of British Pop

Earlier in the week BBC1 documentary Queens Of British Pop celebrated female stars that have taken us from post-punk to The X Factor and their impact on the music scene. The programme focused on six artists, Annie Lennox, Alison Moyet, Geri Halliwell(?), Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis and of course, Kylie!  Keep reading to watch their Kylie profile.

Kylie Appears On Horne & Corden

Earlier in the week, Kylie added another comedy cameo to her CV with a guest appearance on the new BBC3 sketch show Horne & Corden. With some great previous comedy appearances under her belt, on shows including The Vicar Of Dibley and Kath & Kim, I was looking forward to seeing what the guys would do with her.  Keep reading to see what you think.

Kylie Brings Her Man Home

This week’s edition of Australian magazine New Idea includes a two page spread of photos from Kylie’s recent holiday in Queensland with boyfriend Andres Velencoso. During the trip the pair met up with Kylie’s parents who joined them for a relaxing break that included golfing at Palm Cove and scuba diving at Opal Reef.

Everbody’s Invited To Kylie’s Party

The first glimpse of Kylie’s new promotional campaign for Spanish jewellery designers TOUS has been released. Entitled ‘Kylie’s Party’ and shot by Ellen von Unwerth at the Le Maurice hotel in Paris, the project emphasises Kylie’s bid to work outside of her safety zone.

In the May edition of British ELLE magazine, Kylie talks to Craig McLean about – amongst other things – the effects that her cancer treatment had on her body, the prospect of cosmetic surgery and her wish to return to the stage.

Kylie To Headline Mawazine Festival

Kylie has been confirmed as one of the headline acts at this years Mawazine Music Festival held in Rabat. When Kylie takes to the stage at 10:30pm on the opening night, she will be the first artist to perform on the new Olm Souissi stage which has been especially designed to cater for the larger audiences that are drawn by top bill acts.

Kylie On Cover Of British ELLE

Kylie is going to be on the cover of the May edition of British ELLE magazine, which comes out in the first week of April – I’ve never understood that? The stunning cover shot above is from the special collectors edition which is exclusive to ELLE subscribers, the general release cover will probably be a different picture.
